August 2017: In Search of The Winter Trail
As another busy summer season is almost at an end, we’re thinking ahead about how we can help support businesses across the North Highlands in the quieter winter months.
Visitors are flocking to Scotland in record numbers. And we want to help them enjoy the North Coast 500 in all seasons. With this in mind, we’ve come up with the idea of The North Coast 500 Winter Trail.
The Trail will be a free resource that visitors can use to help plan their trip in the ‘off-season’, identifying places to stay, eat and explore that are open for business when the days become shorter and the weather less…welcoming.
From the best roaring log fires, to the cosiest pubs, to the activities and events you can only enjoy as the nights draw in, it will be the definitive guide to the NC500 in winter.
But, to make this a reality, we need your help!
Please let us know what you have planned this winter (and if your plan is to close and have a well-deserved rest, let us know that too!)
Perhaps your hotel is running a special offer? Maybe you are planning a Burns Night spectacular? Or you’re offering guests cosy blankets and binoculars for star spotting?
Whatever it is, please drop us a line at [email protected] and give us the details.
Once we’ve heard your feedback, we will start putting plans together and keep you informed as to how things are progressing….
Best wishes,
Team NC500
