What to expect from a Caledonian Sleeper Experience
A low carbon, hassle free and unique way to travel, the Caledonian Sleeper delivers you direct from the heart of one city to the heart of another. Forget about luggage restrictions, queues at security or the baggage reclaim area and costly transfers and enjoy the experience of travelling through the night in your own private room reaching your destination refreshed and ready to make the most of your day from the minute you arrive.
Before you travel
On booking your journey with the Caledonian Sleeper, you will receive an email confirming your trip details. This will contain your departure and arrival times, what is included with your ticket price and a link to download your etickets. This can be downloaded to your phone and added to your Apple Wallet or printed as a PDF before you travel.
You can also access the most up to date timetables for arrival and departure times which may change due to engineering works or unforeseen circumstances.
We also recommend that you provide up to date contact details when booking your ticket so we can contact you in the event of any unexpected changes to your journey.

A choice of destinations
The Caledonian Sleeper offers services between London and Scotland, with trains departing from London Euston, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness and Fort William every night except Saturday’s. Find out more about Caledonian Sleeper routes including arrival and departure points here.
Lounge Access
Caledonian Double and Club Room guests can access lounge facilities where available, up to two hours before departure and for up to two hours upon arriving at their destination. Further information about lounge access and availability can be found here
Club Car access
Caledonian Double and Club Room guests can enjoy priority Club Car access onboard with access also available for Classic Room guests. The Club Car offers guests the opportunity to relax and unwind with a late-night drink or enjoy some of our delicious Scottish produce. There’s plenty to choose from including vegan options.
Choice of room types
With a selection of rooms available from our Caledonian Double featuring a double bed including ensuite facilities, to our Classic Rooms with twin bunks and optional interconnecting rooms if you are travelling with children, the Caledonian Sleeper offers a choice of accommodation to suit most requirements.
The train also features accessible rooms, and Caledonian Sleeper is committed to ensuring accessible guests have the space they need to travel comfortably and safely between London and Scotland. Please access the accessible travel page to find out more.
Travelling with Pets
Pets are welcome onboard; our Guest Service Centre are happy to offer advice. Up to two pets can accompany guests on board at no extra charge. However, we do charge a fee of £30 for cleaning the room which is payable per journey for up to two pets. Please access the most up to date information here.
Travelling with bikes
All bikes require a reservation to travel on our services. Due to high demand, we strongly advise reserving a space for your bike at your time of booking. Further information available here.
Room Amenities
The Caledonian Sleeper offers a range of amenities to make guest’s journeys’ comfortable and enjoyable.
All rooms feature Glencraft mattresses and come with bedding and towels, an in-room washbasin, charging points, dimmable lights, temperature control, a keycard entry system, WI-FI, room service, a complimentary sleep kit and bottled water.
In addition, the Caledonian Double and Club Rooms include Mackie’s of Scotland Chocolate, Arran Sense of Scotland toiletries and breakfast which can be enjoyed in the Club Car or in-room. Classic Room guests can purchase breakfast and it can be ordered by completing the in-room breakfast cards and placing these outside on the door handle of the room within 30 minutes of boarding.
