Security At Home
- Make sure your fences and boundaries are in good condition. Secure gates and access points with heavy duty, weatherproof key or combination padlocks.
- Lock items like expensive bicycles and motorcycles to floors or walls. Use hardened steel ground and wall anchors combined with ultra-tough padlock and chain sets.
- Items inside your shed – like tools and ladders – can be used by thieves to break into your home. Always choose a high-quality padlock and hasp, hasp and staple set or combination locking bolt to secure your shed door.
- Don’t forget the ‘hinge’ side of the door, burglars may prize a door from the hinge side if the lock side is the stronger. Use non-return/security screws where necessary.
- Secure ‘up and over’ garage doors using our garage defenders. They offer front line security as well as a visible deterrent. A hasp and staple with a padlock can be fitted to roller garage doors for added security.
- Look for security products that carry the Sold Secure quality mark of approval, this means they’ve passed rigorous attack tests by a recognised independent testing and certification body.
Motorcycle Security
When you’re on-the-road, you need a security product that is lightweight, easy to carry and use, but strong enough to protect your bike from the opportunist thief. Our incredibly tough range of Sold Secure Motorcycle Gold and Diamond rated locks are designed to protect your bike to the highest level.
- Padlock and chain sets offer the highest level of security when your two-wheels are out of sight. Always lock your frame or rear wheel to an immovable object where possible as it prevents thieves from picking up your bike. Make sure your padlock and chain are kept off the floor, this offers additional protection if your lock is attacked with a sledge hammer.
- Brake disc locks offer additional security when protecting your motorcycle. They are strong, compact and lightweight locks that discourage thieves from attempting to move your bike. Ideally used in conjunction with a padlock and chain set for added protection. Make sure to use a brake disc lock reminder cable to ensure you remove your disc lock before riding your bike.
Bicycle Security
Whether you are cycling the North Coast 500 or bringing your bike along for the journey, our bike lock range is designed to offer you the best security every step of the way. From café pit stops to additional bike rack protection, we have you covered. Choose from our wide range of integrated cable and chain locks, folding locks, D-locks and padlock and chain sets.
