We are very close to the NC500 route, often used as a midway stop-off point for visitors enjoying the world famous amazing and scenic route, going through some majestic soaring mountains, flat moon type atmospheric areas, passed waterfalls depicted in Robert Louis Stevensons novel Kidnapped, a truely awesome gorge, beautiful fairy tale castles and places where famous films and television programmes were filmed. Our self-catering properties are round the corner from Ben Wyvis and on the banks of the River Black Water.
We have 7 properties available, ranging from 2 beds to 10 beds, some are pet friendly. All reservations include breakfast of a selection of cereals, bread for toast, butter, marmalade and jam selection, coffee], tea and biscuits. We provide a welcome basket with an assortment of goodies. On all our beds we use coverless duvets, which means they are washed after every use, giving guests extra clean bedding.
All our properties have fully equipped kitchens, including hobs, ovens, air fryer, coffee machine and dishwasher. In every property there is a lounge with comfy seating, dining table and chairs, TV and free wifi.
There are grounds to the rear that guests can enjoy, these go down to the river bank where guests can enjoy the calm raw beauty of Ben Wyvis and the deep red sunsets and even the Northern Lights if very lucky
To the front there is free off road parking, some in designated parking spaces. There is a licensed bar selling a variety of local and popular soft drinks and a cafe/restaurant where you can book for an evening meal or a full cooked breakfast if preferred. Although we are very rural we are very easy to find, right on the main A835.
