Welcome to Rattar House, a luxury self catering historic home located on the North Coast between Dunnet Head and the Castle of Mey.
Half way around the NC500, it’s a perfect place to stop and relax for a week and enjoy everything Caithness has to offer. In addition, day trips to Orkney are easy from Rattar, you can catch the ferry from Gills Bay and spend a full day exploring the island.
The house was fully renovated in 2023/24 and is now a luxurious holiday home with fabulous interiors.
The house sleeps 6 + 1.
There is a large master suite with super kingsize bed, dressing area and en-suite with roll top bath. This room also has a pull out single bed so can easily sleep 3 people.
There are two further bedrooms, both can be set up as super king or twin bed rooms and both have their own en-suite bathrooms. One of these bedrooms also has a mezzanine level where kids love to hang out.
Downstairs is fabulous! A huge kitchen dining room with range cooker, wine fridge, two dishwashers and more. This kitchen is beautifully appointed with everything you need to host sumptuous dinners. Leading on from the kitchen is the garden room with a vaulted ceiling and huge glazed windows out to the patio and gardens.
Downstairs you will also find another lounge area, boot room, utility and shower room. This house really is a home from home that you won’t want to leave!
