The Old School Restaurant & Rooms is located in Inshegra near Kinlochbervie, just off the Nc500 main route.
Accommodation
Our accommodation is open from April until October.
Housed in the bungalow behind the restaurant our two premier rooms have fantastic sea and river views, room 5 has a lovely waterfall outside our window. Our other rooms have a view to the back and the mountains beyond. 4 rooms are Ensuite (rooms 3, 4, 5 and 8) and two rooms (6 and 7) share facilities between them.
With free wifi, freesat tv, tea and coffee making facilities and black out blinds to ensure a great nights sleep our complimentary full Scottish breakfast is just what you need to set you up for your day ahead. Whether you choose vising the amazing local beaches with their soft golden sands and sparking clear water, Sandwood Bay, Oldshoremore and Polin to name just a few, climbing the rugged peaks on the mountains or hill/coast walking to see some of the local wildlife our friendly establishment will set you on your day.
Off street parking is provided behind the restaurant and we have a shed for bikes.
Restaurant
Our restaurant has a relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere, using mainly locally sourced ingredients from the sea and land we pride ourselves in making good, homecooked meals served in our cosy dining room (which used to be the P.E hall).
All our deserts and ice creams are made by us too.
We have a wide selection of malt whiskies, local gins, wines and beers as well as soft drinks.
Our evening dinner service is from 6pm until 8pm. Our restaurant is very small, so reservations are required, and our residents always get priority.

Area
There are plenty of sights to see, walks to do and mountains to climb in the area.
We are an ideal base for spending a few days as Handa Island, Cape Wrath, Smoo Cave, Sandwood Bay, and even over to the East Coast to Dunrobin Castle and up to Caithness can all be done in day from us.
If you only have a few hours to spare then a short drive down to Oldshoremore Beach before dinner never fails to disappoint.
