About Little Croft Highlands Campsite & Airigh
- Family Friendly
- Bikers Welcome
- Cyclists Welcome
Little Croft Highlands is a small, friendly campsite and airigh in Scarfskerry, which is the UK mainland’s most northerly settlement, between Dunnet Bay and John O’Groats.
Opened in August 2022, we offer five well-appointed hardstanding pitches for campervans and motorhomes (electric hook-up is available on request), and a fully-maintained grass area for tents. All pitches have panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, with the opportunity to spot local wildlife including deer, seabirds and even barn owls!
Guests can relax in our communal ‘chill out’ area with recliner sofa, cosy blankets and free WiFi; wash-up or make a cuppa in our newly fitted kitchenette; or warm-up under a hot shower, which is often described as the ‘best shower ever’!
There’s plenty to see on our working, family-friendly croft – you can meet our pygmy goats Bert, Earnie, Rupert and Jasper; enjoy fresh eggs from our hens, Firle, Lola, Dawn, Milly, Molly and Mandy; and check out some vintage farm machinery including ‘Shirley Massey’ – our very own ‘Little Grey Fergie’.
We pride ourselves on providing guests with a friendly, relaxed and peaceful environment. Well behaved dogs are of course welcome, but must be kept on leads at all times due to livestock on the premises, and our most senior resident, Turkish the dog.
If you are looking for a rural retreat, just a short walk to the sea, and close to nearby attractions, we’d love to hear from you!
