About Clachan Garden B&B
Clachan Garden B&B offers two rooms, both en-suite, and from May we should have four en-suites and towards the end of the season we are hoping to offer five. Breakfast is included in the price and subject to prior arrangement (preferably) evening meals can be offered. We are set at the head of Lochbroom in an acre of walled garden from which we supply our own produce.
Our newly developed and beautifully appointed B&B is situated at the head of Lochbroom nestled between the Loch and the mountains in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. The house itself, situated in an acre of land, was formerly the garden separating the Manse from what was the Parish Church both now listed along with the stonewall which surrounds the garden. The garden is now given over to fruit, vegetable, flower and egg production to supplement our food offering which not only includes breakfast but the option of an evening meal prepared in our professional kitchen. We bake our own bread and make high quality gelato on the premises and given that Stephen is a trained and highly experienced barista we can promise extraordinarily good coffee….
We have two TV rooms, a substantial library on the premises for readers and browsers and in a separate building a fully equipped recording studio.
For those not familiar with the area we are about seven miles south of the beautiful fishing port of Ullapool which is a thriving centre for a population of around 1500 served by a sports centre and theatre, restaurants from Indian Takeaway to Fine Dining and local music venues with music throughout the week. The tourist facilities are well developed and it is also possible to take a ferry to the Outer Hebrides, though we are only half a mile from the route of the North Coast 500 with all the delights that that route affords.
We currently offer two rooms both with en-suite shower, WC and wash-hand basin. Tea making facilities with a selection of beverages from Drury Tea& Coffee. One room has a Kingsize bed whilst the other has two singles. All bedroom furniture, which includes the beds, single wardrobes, dressing tables and chests are supplied by Revival Beds and the mattresses are Henry Smeaton Diamond Series 11000.
