Gairloch and Loch Ewe Action Forum

GALE is a community owned and managed Development Trust, Social Enterprise and registered Charity. The GALE Centre provides visitors to the area with tourist information, booking services for food and accommodation, ticket sales for local attractions, a community-run cafe and gift shop, and regular events such as community markets and art exhibitions.

Applecross Heritage Centre

The Heritage Centre houses the Applecross Historical Society’s collections of archival documents, paintings, photographs and museum artefacts. There is also a shop where gifts, postcards and Scottish crafts are available. The Centre is open from Easter (Good Friday) to the end of October - Monday to Saturday from noon to 4.00pm.

Beinn Eighe NNR Visitor Centre

The visitor centre is open from Easter to October just outside Kinlochewe. The visitor centre tells the story of the reserve through displays, video, hands on activities and touchscreens. A member of staff is available to answer your questions. The three trails which start here are open all year and a further path links the visitor centre with the village of Kinlochewe.

Gairloch Tourist Information Centre provides many free services to promote tourism in the Gairloch area and beyond. In addition to the free services they generally have a range of high quality publications that can be purchased to enhance your stay in the area.
