Rosemount Cottage & Bothy
Rosemount Cottage & Bothy are owned by John & Helen Forteith and located in the small highland village of Garve and offers quality self-catering accommodation for those exploring the NC500. Both cottages, dating back to c.1850’s, were lovingly renovated in June 2018 by John and Helen. They retain many unique period features while offering comfortable modern facilities such as Free WiFi, FreeSat TV and central heating.
The ‘Cottage’ can accommodate four and the ‘The Bothy’ can accommodate up to four using the sofa bed. They can be booked individually or together. There is private off road parking for up to four vehicles. The cottages are situated only a hundred meters from the NC500 route and sit on the banks of the Black Water river, famous for Rogie Falls and Silver Bridge falls. Several stunning walks can be taken straight from your door. Garve is known for being the ‘Gateway to the NC500’. It is an ideal base to explore many highlights of the NC500 such as the Bealach na Ba, Torridon mountains, Ben Wyvis, Beinn Eighe nature reserve and many more! From Rosemount you have a 5 minute walk to the train where you can have a fantastic day trip to Plockton or the Kyle of Lochalsh travelling through Strathcarron experiencing stunning scenery on the way.
