A Warm Welcome to our Two Newest Corporate Partners

We are delighted to announce that the new North Coast 500 website is now live! Officially launched on the 17th May, our new website is the result of a collaboration with Inverness-based developers Strut.

With a range of new content, including ideas to help you get off the beaten track and explore the areas of the North Highlands that lie within the 516-mile long route, sample itineraries and road safety advice, our new website is the ideal starting point from which to begin planning a trip along the North Coast 500.

In addition to this, our relaunched website benefits from a new and improved, accessible online shop, where you can purchase membership packages for the route, as well as copies of the NC500 Passport, the Rough Guide to the North Coast 500 and choose from our range of merchandise.

Edward Lopez, Creative Director at Strut, commented:

“Strut are delighted to be working with North Coast 500 as their chosen digital partner. The new NC500 website has been a labour of love for our team and with us being based in Inverness, at the start of the North Coast 500 route, we feel passionate about delivering a first-class online experience.

“We are always keen to forge strong sustainable relationships with our clients and from our very first meeting with the NC500 team we knew right away that their approach would be a good fit for us. This has proved to be the case and they have been a joy to work with.

“When creating the new website, we focused on key areas such as itineraries, member listings, magazine style blog content, e-commerce and much more. Now the finishing touches are being added to the project, and we are very happy with the final result.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with North Coast 500 and helping them provide their customers and visitors to the area with a unique experience that will stay with them for a lifetime.”

In addition to the launch of our new website, we are pleased to welcome on board our two newest corporate partners, Ecosse EV and Achnagairn Estate.

As Scotland’s leading electrical vehicle hire firm, Ecosse EV runs a fleet of luxury Teslas. Make use of the 42 electric vehicle charging points along the North Coast 500 route and complete your trip in one of these eco-friendly cars, knowing that your carbon footprint will be significantly reduced.

Stephen Dunn, chief operating officer of Ecosse EV, said:

“The North Coast 500 is the perfect platform on which to highlight the environmental benefits of choosing the zero-emissions alternative in self-drive and chauffer-drive, without compromising on luxury. As the route grows in stature, the ever-growing popularity brings with it a substantial increase in carbon emissions from fossil-fuelled internal combustion engines. Our partnership ensures visitors wishing to experience the route and locals living on it have the cleaner and greener option, which will help support a sustainable future for the North Coast 500.”

As part of the Perfect Manors collection, Achnagairn Estate is conveniently located only seven miles from Inverness – the start and end point of the North Coast 500 route. With a castle hotel surrounded by beautiful grounds, as well as a range of luxurious lodges, Achnagairn Estate is the perfect place to begin, and end, your NC500 trip, with accommodation options to suit groups of all sized.

Gillian Lacey-Solymar, owner and founder at Achnagairn Estate, added:

“All of us at Achnagairn Estate (part of the Perfect Manors group) are delighted to be partners of the North Coast 500. It is a fabulous initiative, bringing so many visitors to the Highlands and we’re thrilled to have been chosen as the luxury accommodation partner closest to the start – and end! – of the route. With their dynamism, and our motto of ‘escape the ordinary’, it has to be the perfect match.

“The partnership has certainly sparked the interest of our whole team. The young and highly innovative chefs at our restaurant, Table Manors, are busy dreaming up a special tasting menu to celebrate our partnership with the NC500, and our interior designer has vowed to change one of the beautiful bedrooms in one of our Mini Manors into a NC500-themed bedroom. What better way to start your NC500 tour than in a dedicated, tailor-made bedroom? As well as this, our whole front of house team has embarked on extensive North Coast 500 research, so that when questions are asked of our reception staff, they will have the very best advice for travellers. We could not be more excited!”
