Caithness Summer Fruits

Caithness Summer Fruits have been in operation since 1992, growing strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants and gooseberries on their croft near Halkirk. Fresh fruit is available in the summer months, from June until October, and frozen fruit is sold all year round. The farm is open to the public most days, so you can pop in for a punnet of fruit and a jar of jam if you're passing by.

Located in the centre of John O’Groats village by the Post Office and Shop. Puffin Croft Farm and Shop are run by Gary and Kris Ridley. Here you can see the animals, including donkeys, rabbits and goats, and browse in the shop which sells their home grown produce and their great home baking as well as eggs, sausages and all the thing you would expect in a farm shop and more. You can also buy a wide variety of plants grown in Caithness and already hardened for the local climate. Puffin Croft Petting Farm and Farm shop is the most northerly farm shop in the U.K The petting farm and shop are open every day from 10am -6pm. The shop is full of fresh baked cakes and pies, as well as fruit, veg, jams and other goodies. The petting farm has some of the friendliest animals you will ever meet!
