Wathegar Farm is a comfortable 4 bedroom farmhouse set in 800 acres comprising Christmas Tree farmland and wind turbines just off the A882 at Bilbster between Wick (4.5 miles) and Thurso. Guests are free to roam the 800 acres with its tree plantation and miles of gravel roads connecting the wind turbines. These roads are suitable for driving, walking, biking, quad biking etc. It is a haven for wild life such as moorland birds, owls, wildfowl, yellowhammers and red and roe deer.

It is situated in the centre of the farm which, in turn, is in the centre of the county of Caithness making it a perfect destination for visiting the county. The loch is famous for its Brown Trout fishing and you can enjoy a gentle walk on the famiy-run Watten Mains Farm - an arable and stock farm with a small herd of Charolais cattle.
